ACCF grants help people avoid choices like these. More than a financial boost, each grant is a reminder that a community of individuals, foundations, and businesses is standing with them.

How grants help

Help with whatever the greatest need may be

Grants are paid directly to the company owed, never in cash, and cover the basics that keep life steady during treatment.

  • Rent or mortgage payments
  • Utility bills
  • Transportation, car payments, and gas
  • Prescription costs
  • Insurance premiums or co-payments
  • Medical equipment not covered by insurance
  • Lymphedema garments
  • Groceries and household needs
  • Other expenses may be eligible, subject to ACCF guidelines and Board approval.

Applying for financial assistance

Assistance is provided through the Foundation's Patient Financial Assistance (PFA) program.

Who is eligible

Minimum qualifications to be considered for a grant:

  • A Georgia resident living in, or receiving treatment in, the Metro Atlanta service area:
    • Cherokee
    • Clayton
    • Cobb
    • Coweta
    • Dawson
    • DeKalb
    • Douglas
    • Fayette
    • Forsyth
    • Fulton
    • Gwinnett
    • Hall
    • Henry
    • Newton
    • Paulding
    • Rockdale
    • Walton
  • At least 18 years old
  • Diagnosed with cancer, with written documentation from a healthcare provider
  • In active treatment, or within 12 months after treatment, with written documentation of treatment status

People who meet these qualifications are further screened for financial need according to ACCF guidelines.

How to apply

Start with your care team

Applications must come through a healthcare professional.

    Ask for a referralTalk with your oncologist, nurse, or oncology social worker about applying.

    Complete the applicationYou and your referring professional fill out and sign the application in full.
  3. 3
    Submit it to ACCFSend it by fax to (678) 348-7523 or by email to the address on the application.
  4. 4
    ACCF follows upApplications are generally processed within one business day, and ACCF will contact you for additional screening.
